Royal Arsenal Riverside Waterfront and The Warren
THE CHALLENGE
To provide a quality long-life coating that will form a strong physical bond with the various substrates including aluminium, mild steel and galvanized steel, thereby avoiding the need for expensive on-going maintenance.
THE SOLUTION
Bradleys pre-treated the metalwork with an anti-corrosive barrier according to the substrate, thus providing 20-25+ years anti-corrosion.
The metalwork was then coated in varying coloured top coats that ensured a quality, aesthetically-pleasing coating as well as giving extra character to the buildings they were installed on.
THE DETAIL
Located in Greenwich on the banks of the River Thames, this impressive luxury residential development has extensive river frontage along the Thames Path as well as an abundance of both public and private landscaped open green spaces.
The munitions factory’s history dates back to 1671 and has been expertly revolutionised in to residential homes.
The Royal Arsenal masterplan includes the Riverside Waterfront, The Warren and the Nouvel building, providing over 2000 new homes, a developing retail hub and an on-site Crossrail Station is due to arrive during 2018.
With high end residential developments, it is critical that the air of luxury isn’t betrayed by poor quality metal coatings and expensive on-going maintenance costs. Bradleys understands this and ensured the metalwork had a high-quality top coat over an anti-corrosive finish, to ensure that it was well protected underneath and looked great on the surface.
