Durability and Weather Resistance Performance

  • Accelerated Weathering – Class 2 ISO 16474-2 (1000 hrs) ≥90% Gloss retention
  • Neutral Salt Spray (Vern to advise following Pawel’s departure)
  • Acetic Salt Spray Resistance – ISO 9227 <16 mm2 corrosion/10cm, 1000 hours (aluminium)
  • Adhesion – Achieved the ultimate Class 0 in accordance with ISO 2409
  • Chemical Resistance – Resistant to solvents (Xylene rub test)
  • Florida Exposure – Gloss retention compliant with Qualicoat Class 2 requirements
  • Flexibility – SO 1519 (cylindrical Mandrel) Pass Qualicoat class 2 requirements
  • Excellent colour stability at elevated temperatures
  • Permeability Resistance – No sign of detachment or blistering as per Qualicoat specification
  • Mortar Resistance – As per Standard EN 12206, no effect after 24 hours
  • Impact Resistance – No sign of detachment following the tape pull adhesion test

Fire Rating

  • All Quarry finishes are available in Fire Rated versions (Rated to A2-s1,d0) on prior request

Environment

  • Quarry Range offers several environmental benefits within the parameters of ISO 14001 environmental management system:
  • Low VOC Emissions: Quarry finishes emit minimal volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air
  • Efficient Application: When applying Quarry powder, about 90% of what’s sprayed adheres to the metal surface. The remaining powder can be collected, filtered and reused
  • Elimination of Hazardous Substances: Quarry finishes do not require hazardous air pollutants (HAPs)
  • Enhanced Durability: Quarry-finished surfaces are highly durable, reducing the need for frequent repair and requiring fewer resources used over time
  • TGIC Free: Eliminating the risk of TGIC related adverse health effects
  • Lightweight Materials: Quarry powders add no significant weight to the substrate contributing to energy-efficient designs
  • Promotes Sustainability: Vantage Texture-finished products are more sustainable due to their durability, reducing the demand for new raw materials

Repair & Maintenance

  • Expected Life to first maintenance of 50 years
  • Simple and easy to clean with pH neutral water and soft cloth or sponge
  • Damage repair systems available for onsite application
