THE CHALLENGE
The key client requirement was to create rust style planters for their outdoor terrace which didn’t cause staining on the newly laid slabs. Corten was not going to work as it would bleed onto the ground and also come off onto guests’ hands and clothes.
THE SOLUTION
Bradleys used a Rust-effect finish from their Oxide Range which is totally stable in the outdoor environment. It is a sealed finish and highly durable to the weather whilst protecting the steel underneath so it will not bleed onto the slab work. It also gives an instant rust effect, so time is not lost waiting for it to oxidise.
