THE CHALLENGE

“Regarding our new head office in London. We are looking to deliver feature balustrades and railings for external application and therefore need a durable ‘bronze’ look metal finish suitable for outdoors.”

From experience, we could also see that it would be a challenge to find a finishing company with ‘over and above’ capabilities to take on such a contract.

The constraints around handling, weight capacities, and turnaround were very real and the finishing company had to be one who could handle this.

THE SOLUTION

Solid bronze was not an option, so Bradleys stepped in with a bronze applied over mild steel which achieved the client’s expectations very well.

Bradleys had the capacity to invest many hours of resource in the form of handcrafted work into this contract. Handling required special attention to deliver these very heavy railings to site, installed and undamaged.

THE DETAIL

Clivedale’s redeveloped headquarters at 73 Brook Street, around the corner from 33 Davies Street, is acknowledged as a world class commercial building, a tribute to the attention given to the quality and finer detail of the design involved.

This renowned stunning office building redevelopment in Mayfair sets a new benchmark and only adds to the air of quality surrounding this prestigious Georgian-era street, a welcome replacement for the previous 1970s building.

This prestigious project deserved only the best, the genuine handcrafted bronze finish on the balustrades enhances their carved details and compliments the building’s Portland stone façade.
